Hampshire Netball’s Academy programme is part of the Excel Pathway, which is the England Netball process for developing athletes with the... attributes to attain excellence.

The Academy 2013 – 2014 sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings from 7pm – 9pm in the sports hall at the University of Winchester and another Winchester venue TBC. The Academy Festival in 2014 is a one-day event held, usually in March or April, and the screening day for young athletes aspiring to gain a place in the Academies, which will be taking place on Saturday 20th July and Sunday 21st July 2013.

The ‘High Five’ netball challenge has been designed to help develop and support schools netball through ‘Five’ key skills required by players; Shooting, Passing, Intercepting, Dodging and Footwork. Players are tasked with completing each of the five separate challenges (there are 2 routes to choose from graded on ability) recording their personal bests and trying to raise a total of £5 (£1 for each challenge achieved) for Wessex Heartbeat.
